Making our way down to Southern California in an area known for its small town charm, Brea has opened its arms up to a spot where foodies from anywhere and everywhere can come by and witness amazing dishes being served.

Chef Andrew Gruel (Owner of Slapfish) has taken fast food, and seafood for that matter, to the next level with a "modern day seafood shack". As I approached the front doors on a warm night, my first glance turned to the smiles of the people as they looked to enjoy good food along with great company.

The set up was very simple:

1) Order and pay at the register,

2) Find a seat inside/outside with your number visible for the waiter,

3) Wait for your meal to come,

4) GRUB.

As you wait for your food to come, gather yourself up some sauces, quench your thirst on refillable drinks, and prepare for war with some napkins. (*If you order the Clobster Grilled Cheese; picture shown below, definitely get yourself some napkins)

The wait time on the food was not even a mere 10 minutes and the short anticipation was even better as we looked and drooled upon the orders that went by us. First that came up was the Clobster Grilled Cheese alongside with the Chowder Fries. As the tray was being placed down in front of me, I gave a stare as if I saw a million bucks. The sandwiches were STACKED on top of each other with a toothpick holding all of the temptations together. Then my attention turn towards the chowder fries, dripping down the sides, and tiny bacon bits drizzled on top. The second order came for the lady, as her Lobster Roll and fries were given, and the look on her face gave off the joy and satisfaction that would soon enough devour a heavenly tasting meal.

As we cheered off our main item and took our first bite, the only sounds we heard were, "mmmmm..." No better way to describe a meal then to be quiet and "mmm" away. The whole meal was conquered and washed down by an ice cold Cola. Slapfish was definitely a great experience with a great set up and location in Brea. I have not gotten the chance to check out the other locations but I am sure they are a must go to spot. As this Brea location was a 100% WAPUSH CERTIFIED spot to go to.

Make sure to stop by one if not all of their locations in Southern California and check out their social media pages @slapfish
